Seems you have a decent businesses. If you can grow sales to £2k per week and find further ways to optimise (speed improvements)plus add in more lead gen like paid ads it will all feel easier. If you don't enjoy it ramp revenue to 2k a week then sell it to a gardening firm for 2x revenue or something

hardest part of business i found is acquiring the customer and keeping them happy. You need to outsource your jobs and pay split of the pie or hourly this will free up your time and energy to focus on other stuff of the business, keep at it man! Love watching your vids

We were always too scared to charge more for our service business, once we just tried it though we were so glad! Closed more deals and people said yes the same way. You could definitely charge more for the amount of time you’re working.

I love that you're still at this. You're showing what starting a business is really like. There are no shortcuts. You grind, you fail, you get back up again and you just keep going. Seriously, you're doing it. This is the way. You spot the flaw in what you're doing and you adjust. I find it helpful to look back at where you were when you started. You have the luxury of these videos. Go back and watch where you were a couple of months ago, it'll be a great morale booster.

Don't charge less than 300 for a job, period! 300 or more! No more 149, or 199 - you invest too much into this, your time is money, you should charge 300 minimum and that's it!

I use captions all the time for translations between other languages. Sad to hear it's such an underappreciated line of work. But just know, personally, I wish the people doing it much love and prosperity long-term, even if not short-term. Bless you all.

Great stuff, always enjoy the videos, even before this epic documentary blog of real life struggle. I still do prolific occasionally. I also have a background with tech and business. I just want to reach out and offer any help you might need. I am looking for a job if a remote position for your new business becomes available, ideally contract work, but I would also like to offer to relive some stress if there is anything you need. Weather it's combing over some numbers or comparing products, I am open to support. I am fortunate to have had better cushion when stuff didn't work out in my life but I do understand some of what you are going through and if you need anything, I would be happy to do it for free.

whoohoo a full week coming up! Exciting stuff! I really want to see you succeed, so iv a couple helpful thoughts. 1. Consider better gloves and ppe. the weather in the UK will change soon and you need to protect yourself. 14 years in land surveying i learnt the hard way! amzn.to/3YUnnAf these gloves are great for outdoor work. Sealskin do great waterproofs too, they are pricey but you will sweat less wearing them, and your joints and skin will thank you years from now. 2. Consider your endgame. What do i mean by this? Well most businesses, and i mean most, don't make the bulk of the money from the actual business. They make it from the sale of the business.Yes, having a big target to hit is a great goal to keep you motivated. But, maybe add on another goal, perhaps build the business to a position of say £200k value,or if your pulling in £100k per year income, then your sale price could be even juicier. You could aim lower at say £50k for a quicker turnaround. What would you need to sell something like this? A regular order book of contacts, so emails and pre pays. Not to mention all the equipment, which you have! Network and reputation is key! And it comes with a nice price tag if you want to sell that on. 3. Affiliate everything you do with links to buy the products you use. Also start making your ebook on ''Wash Away the Competition: Secrets to Building a £100K Jetwashing Empire'', because once you hit your target, there's going to be thousands of people who would love to know the details on how you did it, as it's a great little side hustle for many with a relatively small initial investment. Also i'd like to mention there is no shame on pivoting or even changing a business if you truly feel it's not working out. But, only do this once you have really given it a really good go at. You have loads of orders coming in now, so you have cracked that marketing code. As Grant Cordone would say, you made £1k so now 10x it, go for £10k. Now its about streamlining and saving cash, reducing time on jobs and also getting those bigger contracts. All the best dude!

i feel like you have a safety net which makes you able to make decision to buy new stuff without think twice hence I would suggest to work in very tight budget think as if this is the last dollar I have then should I buy the thing I want

Hi Jon I have been really enjoying the series so far really shows the true cost of running a business, id like to give you some pointers which may help you. firstly Facebook is a great place for advertising services on a business page as well as joining community groups and posting your pressure washing services and this can mean you reach out to a lot of people without spending so much time physically posting letters each day. many pressure washing people price jobs per metre squared which means you are more accurate with your pricing and can actually net you more than your current structure of small medium large. adding a soft wash chemical treatment after can also help justify a higher price. from working in services based businesses, every day people want someone on the same level as them and big sales talk can be an off put. hope this helps you, looking forward to the next video. hopefully this may help

Why don't you charge per square meter? Surface is what takes your time, energy and fue, this is the criteria to chrge and you'll be in a position to justify a higher charge here and there. Let alone that now you're seeing the job from within, maybe add an extra fiver or two per job, it won't look much to the customer, but 5 extra customers, mean £50 extra for the business.

Good talk, same as me. I own a small security company, I'm finding it extremely hard to find customers, my business is up and down, busy one week, quiet for another week (or two). I'm doing everything, enquiries for business, marketing, networking, wages, rotas and also doing shifts, as my profit is increasing this way. I don't have so much work to just make money of my security guards and focus on the admin and marketing. I keep pushing hard, next year before my £2.4k yearly insurance expires, I will re-evaluate. If it is doing my heading and I'm not enjoying it anymore, I'll shut it down. Don't try to hard for things you know you don't enjoy.

Do it after a rainy day because when anyone drives a car it obviously gets dirty so you have more income and short time and do it whenever you want❤

I personally think once you hit 0$ with this u can think of switching and keep this as a side gig that u do maybe 2 days a week by then you will have equipment, do's and don'ts, and a steady customer base for referrals.
